Mai Shiranui (不知火 舞) is a playable protagonist from the Fatal Fury and The King of the Fighters franchises, known for her attractiveness and SNK's sex symbol.
History[]
The granddaughter of the Shiranui clan head, Hanzo Shiranui, Mai grew up as the heiress to the clan. She trained with Andy, who was taught Koppoken, while she inherited the secrets of Shiranui Ninjitsu. She fell in love with Andy early on, and often goes through great links to be close to him.
Personality and Traits[]
Mai is usually kind, optimistic, and laid back. When it comes to Andy, she is flirtatious, going out of her way to get his attention. She is very temperamental at times, particularly when she wants to be teamed up with Andy, but he refuses. She is also very playful, and often pranks Andy with babies created via Genjutsu just to see his reaction.
Weapons and Abilities[]
Mai is known for her amazing combatant skills while armed with her butterfly fan, great athleticism, and pyrokinesis, the fictional ability to control and manipulate fire. Her pyrokinesis grants her the ability to spawn fire out of thin air, cloak herself in flames, cause explosions, and channel fire through anything she touches, making her a walking inferno. Besides her command over fire and mastery of ninjutsu, she can actually glide and temporarily fly via her aerial manipulation.
Her obviously attractive and sexy outline is assumed to be on purpose, representing the kunoichi way of assassination and manipulation, seduction of their prey.
